Geoneon was honoured to be recognised at the Australian Space Awards, winning all three categories in which we were nominated: Space Female Leader of the Year, Excellence Award, and Business of the Year – SME.

A milestone for applied Earth Observation

It was a proud moment for the team, and a meaningful recognition of the work Geoneon has been building across Earth observation, AI, geospatial analytics, and applied environmental intelligence.

For us, these awards reflect more than a single night of celebration. They speak to the growing importance of space-enabled data in solving real-world challenges, from climate risk and environmental monitoring to infrastructure planning, resilience, and better decision-making.

Recognising leadership, teamwork and collaboration

The recognition of Roxane Bandini-Maeder as Space Female Leader of the Year also highlights the leadership, persistence, and technical vision that have shaped Geoneon’s direction from the beginning. Alongside the company awards, it is a reminder that innovation in the space sector is built by people: teams, clients, partners, collaborators, and communities working together to turn complex data into practical outcomes.

We are grateful to the Australian Space Awards organisers, judges, and wider industry, and especially to everyone who has supported Geoneon’s work along the way.

The recognition reflects Geoneon's work applying Earth observation and AI to real-world challenges, including wildfire preparedness, climate resilience, flood risk assessment, and environmental monitoring across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Continuing the work

Winning across all three nominated categories is an exciting milestone, but it is also encouragement to keep building. As Earth observation, AI, and spatial intelligence continue to mature, Geoneon remains focused on helping organisations understand risk, monitor change, and make better decisions for the environments and communities they serve.
